Connect your Zoom account to let Caretta create a scheduled Zoom meeting when you send a calendar invitation. Caretta adds the Zoom join link to the invitation so attendees can join from their calendar.
Caretta requests one Zoom permission: Create, edit, and delete your Zoom meetings (meeting:write:meeting). Caretta currently uses it only to create scheduled meetings for invitations you choose to send.

Before you connect

You need:
  • a Caretta account;
  • a Zoom account that can schedule meetings; and
  • permission from your Zoom administrator if your organisation requires app approval.
Caretta sends the calendar invitation through your connected Google Calendar. Make sure Google Calendar write access is enabled when Caretta prompts you.

Add Caretta to Zoom

1

Open Caretta integrations

In Caretta, open Settings → Integrations and find Zoom.
2

Start the connection

Select Connect. Caretta opens Zoom’s secure authorisation page.
3

Review the permission

Sign in to Zoom if prompted. Review the requested meeting permission and select Allow. If Zoom shows an administrator approval message, request approval from your Zoom account administrator and repeat the connection after it is approved.
4

Return to Caretta

Zoom redirects you to Caretta. The Zoom card shows that your account is connected.
Always start from Settings → Integrations → Zoom. Do not open or share a raw Zoom authorisation URL; Caretta creates a short-lived, signed connection request for your account.
1

Enable calendar invitations

Open Settings → Buttons and turn on Send Calendar Invites.
2

Choose Zoom

Under Meeting link platform, select Zoom. If Caretta asks for Google Calendar write access, complete that connection too.
3

Send an invitation

Use Caretta’s calendar invitation action after a call. Enter the title, time, and attendees, then send the invitation.
4

Share the generated link

Caretta creates a scheduled meeting in your Zoom account and places the returned join URL in the calendar event’s location and invitation details.
The meeting appears in your Zoom account and can be managed there like any other scheduled Zoom meeting.

What Caretta sends to Zoom

When you send an invitation with Zoom selected, Caretta sends:
  • the meeting title;
  • start time and time zone;
  • duration; and
  • invitee email addresses.
Caretta creates a scheduled meeting under the Zoom user who authorised the connection. The generated meeting allows attendees to join before the host and does not use a waiting room.

Permission and data use

Caretta does not request permission to read your Zoom profile, list your existing meetings, access recordings, read transcripts, or join meetings.

Disconnect or remove Caretta

Disconnect in Caretta

1

Open integrations

In Caretta, open Settings → Integrations.
2

Disconnect Zoom

Find Zoom and select Disconnect. Caretta deletes the stored Zoom connection tokens and stops creating Zoom links.
3

Choose another platform

If Send Calendar Invites remains enabled, choose another meeting link platform under Settings → Buttons.

Remove the app in Zoom

You can also revoke Caretta from Zoom:
1

Open Added Apps

Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, select Manage, then open Added Apps.
2

Find Caretta

Select Caretta from the list of apps connected to your Zoom account.
3

Remove the app

Select Remove, choose a reason if Zoom asks, and confirm.
Removing Caretta in Zoom revokes its Zoom access. To avoid showing a stale connection in Caretta, also use Settings → Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect. If an administrator added Caretta for your organisation, the administrator can remove it for individual users or the whole account from Manage → Apps on Account → Added Apps. See Zoom’s app management guide.

Troubleshooting

Your Zoom account restricts user-managed apps. Ask a Zoom account owner or administrator to approve Caretta, then return to Settings → Integrations and select Connect again.
The Zoom token may have expired or been revoked. Select Reconnect Zoom in Settings → Buttons, or disconnect and reconnect Zoom from Settings → Integrations.
Open Settings → Integrations in Caretta and select Disconnect. Connect again only if you want Caretta to create new Zoom meetings.
